Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 28 September 2026

PAASNEXT runs many customers’ applications on shared infrastructure, so what one account does affects everyone else. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everything you deploy, store or do on the Service, and to the conduct of your own customers if you run a SaaS here.

1. Prohibited content

  • Anything unlawful in the United States, the United Kingdom, or where you or your users are located, or that promotes, facilitates or instructs unlawful activity.
  • Child sexual abuse material or any content that sexualises minors. We remove it immediately and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children or the relevant UK authority.
  • Malware, ransomware, spyware, command-and-control infrastructure, phishing pages, or anything designed to deceive people into giving up credentials, money or data.
  • Content that infringes copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy or other rights of others.
  • Content that threatens, harasses or incites violence or hatred against people or groups, or promotes terrorism.
  • Personal data collected or used unlawfully, including sensitive data processed without a lawful basis.

2. Prohibited activities

  • Sending spam or bulk unsolicited messages, or hosting content advertised that way.
  • Scanning, probing, attacking or trying to gain unauthorised access to any system or network, including ours, or running denial-of-service tools.
  • Cryptocurrency mining, or any workload built mainly to consume shared CPU, memory, bandwidth or storage.
  • Operating open proxies, VPN exit nodes, Tor exit relays or other anonymising services for third parties.
  • Circumventing plan limits, security controls or suspensions, including by opening additional accounts.
  • Reselling or sublicensing access to the Service except as the Terms and your plan allow.
  • Using the Service in breach of US or UK sanctions or export-control laws.

3. Fair use of shared resources

Every plan has memory, CPU and storage limits. An application that repeatedly degrades the server it shares with others may be throttled or stopped until the cause is fixed, even when it is within its plan limits. We will contact you first unless there is an urgent risk to other customers.

4. If you run a SaaS

You are responsible for how your customers use the instances you provide them, and you must act promptly on misuse you become aware of. We may act directly on any instance that breaks this policy, and will tell you when we do.

5. How we enforce this policy

Depending on the severity and whether it is repeated, we may warn you, remove specific content, stop the affected application, suspend the account, or close it. Where it is safe and lawful we tell you first and give you a reasonable chance to fix the problem; for serious harm — such as malware, abuse material or an active attack — we act immediately. We may preserve information and report conduct to law enforcement where required or appropriate. Fees are not refunded for accounts closed for breaching this policy.

6. Reporting abuse or illegal content

To report content or activity on PAASNEXT that breaks this policy or the law, email support@paasnext.com with the web address involved and a description of the problem. We review every report, act promptly on content that is illegal in the United Kingdom or the United States, and tell the person who reported it what we decided where we can.

7. Copyright infringement notices (DMCA)

We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act and equivalent UK law. Send notices to our designated agent at support@paasnext.com. To be effective, your notice must include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed;
  • identification of the infringing material and the web address where it is found;
  • your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner, or authorised to act for the owner, of the right that is allegedly infringed.

8. Counter-notices and repeat infringers

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing your signature, the removed material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake, and your name, address and telephone number with your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal courts for your address (or, if outside the US, any judicial district where we may be found). We may restore the material 10 to 14 business days after receiving a valid counter-notice unless the complainant tells us they have filed court proceedings. We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of repeat infringers.
